Elizabeth is a registered clinical psychologist who specialises in couple therapy, disordered eating patterns, anxiety, trauma, stress and bereavement. Elizabeth is available on a Tuesday evening, Wednesday and Saturday morning.
She has a doctorate in psychology from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She has worked with individuals, couples, families and groups in the private and public sectors for the last 18 years and uses a collaborative and relational approach in therapy, based on attachment, systems and cognitive behavioral principles.
Elizabeth is a member of the New Zealand Psychological Society and a member of the Institute of Counselling Psychology management committee. She has presented and published in the area of ethical practice, stress and resilience as well as anorexia nervosa.
